My 40-year career has encompassed jobs in banking, marketing/advertising, business operations and customer service throughout the United States.  I have analyzed needs, presented ideas, negotiated, and managed contracted for large corporations, mid-level businesses and small “mom and pop” businesses. 

My employers were generous in training to assure success in meeting company goals. I have held a variety of managerial roles in banking, human resources, marketing, and sales.

My banking operational experience began in Systems Research and Development tasked with creating cutting-edge platforms as banking transitioned into electronic delivery.  After completing a business degree, my career in Alaska started with travels throughout the state as a bank operational auditor and was tasked with assuring banking regulation were being met.  Next I moved into a Personnel Officer role:  hiring/recruiting, employee reviews, management consulting and training as well as employee satisfaction surveys. The biggest challenges came when the Exon Valdez Oil spill occurred, and employees walked off the job for exorbitant salaries offered for oil cleanup.

The experience lead to a role managing a staff within the electronic banking division that serviced all 11 banks within the state,  offering Merchant Services (credit and debit card capabilities) to participating banks’ merchants throughout Alaska.   Our electronic capabilities were designed in-house and was a closed border system.  With a 24-hour staff of five, we had two products based on remote electronic capabilities, manual or electronic.  The challenge became real in these Alaskan towns when two to three cruise ships anchored, and credit card activity spiked. 

Growing weary of long Alaska winters, I moved back to the pacific northwest where I secured a position with Morgan Stanley Discover Card Division as a Sales and Service Executive.  Discover’s presence was my goal, working with merchants in all industries processing their bankcard transactions. 

A career change brought new challenges when I gained employment with Gannett Media a local newspaper.   For the next 11 years, I negotiated advertising campaigns with national and local customers.  This encompassed designing ad campaigns on multiple media platforms:  Newsprint, magazines, special sections, Facebook, web page development, email advertising, landing pages,Ap solutions, pre-rolls, media takeovers, SEO, and SEM and media advertising.

In 2013 I moved to Sarasota, Florida, and took a job in the marketing medical industry.  I joined a small startup company, where I built business and negotiated contracts with hospitals predominantly, but we did not limit ourselves as we tested in other industries as well. (fit testing)

Most recent as Marketing Director for an investment company who owned 34 dental practices within three states where my  efforts included launching website redesign for each site. SEO, SEM, Facebook Ads, Google Dashboards, Print Media, TV Advertising and Customer Service scripts and growing business.     

Texas is my home now.
