Australian Transplant Finds Home, Business in Retirement

Victoria Bohland, an Australian transplanted in the United States, says her new business as owner of a bed and breakfast in Two Rivers is a natural blending of her work experience and her love of meeting new people.

The Green Bay SCORE client says she “wandered the globe” for the past 40-odd years before putting down roots in northeastern Wisconsin. She was looking for a business to run in “retirement” when she toured the former St. Luke’s Catholic Church rectory.

“When I walked in, I fell in love with it,” Bohland said.

Errand, Delivery Service Defines Itself as 'One-Stop Shop'

It’s usually easy for a business to define its target customer. But when you’re trying to offer something for almost everyone, it can be much more complicated.

Such is the case for Janet Perret and Lynn Kamps, owners of Bring it! Errands and Delivery of Green Bay.

“If we have a niche, it’s that we’re a one-stop shop,” Kamps said. “If you call us, we can do pretty much anything and everything you want done. It has been a hurdle that people think we cater to the elderly, but our target market is much broader than that.”

Dalebroux Faces Skincare Competition Head On

In keeping with the season, Hope Dalebroux, owner of Hope Della Skincare in Bellevue, is busy promoting her Pumpkin Marshmallow Souffle facial.

The Green Bay SCORE client talks about it with the passion that has come to define her business. After a cinnamon-infused oil soak and exfoliation, she says, “You’ll be painted with an organic pumpkin puree and clay mask to detox and refine. A finishing touch of Marshmallow Melt Shea Butter smells good enough to eat!”
