Supper Club Owners Revive Business in Pembine, Advise Entrepreneurs to do Their Homework

In the last five years, Michele and Casey Wanek have learned a great deal about the restaurant business. The Green Bay SCORE clients and owners of Paris in Pembine, a now popular supper club, revived the business.

“It had been in foreclosure twice,” Casey Wanek said. “The previous owners were struggling and had downgraded the food and drink menu so that it was more like a bar than a restaurant.”

Sleepy Hollow Farm Expands With Help From SCORE, USDA Microloan Program

Last week’s column featured the new partnership between SCORE and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). 

As the face of family farming changes, the USDA is encouraging the development of ag-related businesses by offering an array of loan programs. Among those is a microloan program that is being administered by area Farm Services Agency offices.
