The Green Bay SCORE chapter’s home at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay has a new name. The former Business and Manufacturing Center is now "Startup Hub."
 
"It represents the broadening of becoming ‘the front’ door to the entire entrepreneurial ecosystem in greater Green Bay," said Lori Kaye Lodes, vice president of marketing and communications at the Greater Green Bay Chamber. "It’s for existing businesses looking to grow to the next level and for startups/entrepreneurs and people with those next great ideas."

These might just be words, but for Kimberlee Gast, owner of K Sera Salon in De Pere, they are the foundation of her business plan. In a simple binder filled with pages of black construction paper, she clipped and collected words of inspiration as she planned her business.

Passion for Entrepreneurship Drives DeGrand, Fervid Life

 The dictionary describes the word fervid as being intensely enthusiastic or passionate, especially to an excessive degree. That is exactly the meaning that Renee DeGrand of Green Bay wanted to convey by naming the business she is developing Fervid Life.

DeGrand, a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, recently took first place in the 2018 Northeast Wisconsin Business Plan Contest. She will graduate in May with a degree in business administration with emphasis on management and entrepreneurship.

Humor, Hemp Help Grow Potty Mouth Sisters' Business

With a blend of holistic products and humor, two local sisters are building a business that is growing far beyond their expectations.

Debby and Julie Klarkowski of Green Bay started making natural soaps, and after receiving rave reviews from users, made a few hundred bars to sell. In setting up a business, they needed a name and packaging. That led them back to their childhood and the threat that bad language meant soap in the mouth.

Maui County SCORE depends on the sale of the Maui Clounty t-shirts as a fundraiser for our chapter.  You will find Police, Fire & Lifeguard department designs.  We carry regular T-shirts, Long Sleeve, Tank Tops and some special items such as Jacketes & Sweatshirts.  There are no online sales at this time.
